Heavy rainfall on the 9th and 10th and again on the 22nd and 23rd contributed to flooding over portions of Polk county. The NWS cooperative observer station at Crookston reported 6.55 inches of rain during the month and the observer at Fosston reported 11.56 inches. This rainfall all fell after the first week of the month. Polk county received a Presidential disaster declaration.
