325 AM EST SAT APR 13 2002

SHOWERS WERE LEAVING THE FORECAST AREA THIS MORNING...BUT THEY MAY
RETURN TONIGHT AND SUNDAY.

A WEAK COLD FRONT WAS OVER SOUTH INDIANA EARLY THIS MORNING. HIGH
PRESSURE WAS OVER THE UPPER GREAT LAKES. AN UPPER LEVEL SHORT WAVE
TROUGH WAS OVER THE MID MISSISSIPPI VALLEY.

SHOWERS WERE CONFINED TO THE EAST PART OF THE AREA. THEY WILL MOVE
OUT LATER THIS MORNING. SOME FOG WAS DEVELOPING OVER THE WEST PART
OF THE AREA. THERE WILL BE AREAS OF FOG OVER THE FORECAST AREA EARLY
THIS MORNING. THERE APPEARS TO BE ENOUGH LOW LEVEL MOISTURE TO KEEP
SKIES MOSTLY CLOUDY TODAY...EXCEPT OVER THE NORTHWEST.

THE WEAK FRONT IS FORECAST TO REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY. ANOTHER
UPPER SHORT WAVE TROUGH IS FORECAST TO APPROACH THE AREA LATE
TONIGHT. ETA IS A BIT SLOWER THAN THE AVN TO BRING PRECIPITATION
BACK INTO THE AREA. WITH SURFACE FRONT STILL IN THE AREA AND ANOTHER
UPPER SHORT WAVE APPROACHING...WILL GO WITH THE AVN AND BRING A
CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS INTO THE SOUTH COUNTIES LATE TONIGHT. WILL
BRING THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS FARTHER NORTH TOMORROW...AND WILL
MAKE THUNDERSTORMS LIKELY OVER THE FAR SOUTH.

GUIDANCE TEMPERATURES LOOK GOOD. CLOUDS WILL HOLD BACK TEMPERATURE
RISE TODAY. CLOUDS TOMORROW WILL LIKELY KEEP TEMPERATURES FROM
GETTING QUITE AS WARM AS GUIDANCE.
