A brush fire that had burned almost 60 acres over several days at the end of September flared again over a three day period in early October. The fire was located above Kalihi Elementary School in Kalihi Valley. However, no injuries or serious property damage were reported. Fire officials believed that the blazes affecting the area were deliberately set.
