00Z ANALYSIS OF SURFACE AND UPPER AIR FEATURES SHOW THE RUC HANDLING
THE SITUATION MUCH BETTER THAN THE OTHER MODELS. IT HAS PEGGED THE
SURFACE AND H8 LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS WITH LOCATION AND DEPTH AND
NAILED THE 250MB JET APPROACHING THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE. THE
SATELITE BRANCH HAS DISCUSSED THIS FEATURE AND EXPECTS HEAVY SNOW TO
CONTINUE OVER THE MIDLANDS AS THE LEFT FRONT QUAD OF THE MOVES
THROUGH LATER TONIGHT. WITH UPPER LEVEL TROUGH TAKING ON A MORE
NEGATIVE TILT WE WOULD EXPECT THE SURFACE LOW TO PULL A LITTLE
FURTHER WEST WITH ITS TRACK AND CONTINUE TO DEEPEN. CURRENT
FORECAST LOOKS GOOD AND WILL ADJUST COUNTY GROUPINGS BASED ON THE
FREEZING RAIN/SNOW LINE. WARNINGS WILL BE CONTINUED WITH LITTLE OR
NO CHANGE TO EXPECTED SNOW AMOUNTS.

Mainly snow fell in Columbia county with total accumulations of 4 to 6 inches. Some trees and powerlines were taken down from the heavy snow.
A mixture of freezing rain, sleet, and snow fell in McDuffie county. Ice accumulations were 1/4 to 1/2 inch and snow accumulations were 3 to 5 inches.
A mixture of freezing rain, sleet, and snow fell over Richmond county. Ice accumulations of 1/4 to 1/2 inch occurred along with 3 to 5 inches of snow.
Freezing rain and sleet fell over Burke county with ice accumulations of 1/2 to 1 inch. Trees and powerlines were dropped and the even ended with a 1 to 3 inch snowfall.
Four to 6 inches of snow fell over Lincoln county taking down trees and powerlines.
