SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PUEBLO COLORADO 142 PM MDT FRI JUN 28 2002 NO MAJOR CONCERNS THIS FORECAST CYCLE. UPPER RIDGE WILL REMAIN OVER CO AND THE CENTRAL U.S. FOR THE ENTIRE FORECAST PERIOD. THUS DAYTIME TEMPS WILL CONTINUE TO BE QUITE WARM. SATURDAY LOOKS TO BE THE WARMEST DAY. ON SUNDAY A WEEK FRONT TRIES TO MOVE THROUGH THE EASTERN PLAINS...BUT TEMPS LOOK LIKE THEY MAY ONLY COOL A COUPLE OR A FEW DEGREES. THEREAFTER DAYTIME HIGHS WILL BE QUITE SIMILAR EACH DAY WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 80S TO UPPER 90S. A LITTLE MOISTURE SHOULD REMAIN OVER THE AREA FOR AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT PLAINS. I WILL REMOVE PRECIP CHANCES FROM THE FAR EAST PLAINS FOR THIS EVENING AND FOR TOMORROW AS STRONG CAP WILL KEEP TSTMS FROM FORMING. WILL ALSO KEEP THE FAR EASTERN PLAINS DRY THROUGH THE REST OF THE FORECAST PERIOD...AS WARM TEMPS ALOFT CONTINUE AND VERY LITTLE MOISTURE IS EXPECTED. .PUB...NONE.
