HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUED OVER THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON. THIS MADE FOR SUNNY SKIES ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA. DEW POINTS WERE LOWER TODAY ESPECIALLY ACROSS NORTH...CENTRAL AND EAST SECTIONS. TROPICAL STORM FAY CAN BE SEEN ON SATELLITE IMAGES WITH THE OUTER EDGES ENCROACHING ON SOUTHERN ARKANSAS. I PREFER THE AVN SOLUTION OVER THE DRIER ETA SOLUTION TODAY. THE ETA IS STILL NOT BRINGING ANY PRECIP...OR MOISTURE FOR THAT MATTER...INTO ARKANSAS. THE AVN AND NGM ARE BOTH BRINGING IN MOISTURE FROM TROPICAL STORM FAY. THE MAIN CHANCE FOR PRECIP WILL BE SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL ACTUALLY BEGIN IN THE SOUTH SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND SPREAD NORTHWARD. WILL JUST KEEP POPS AT A CHANCE...AS THE EXACT TRACK OF THE STORM COULD CHANGE. PRECIPITATION SHOULD END BY MONDAY MORNING AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE AREA FROM THE NORTH. ANOTHER COLD FRONT APPROACHES THE STATE ON TUESDAY FROM THE MIDWEST. THIS SHOULD MOVE THROUGH THE ARKANSAS TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
