An intensifying low pressure and frontal system moved to just southeast of Dutch Harbor through the period. In one 24 hour period, the central pressure of the low dropped 32mb. Intense pre-frontal winds in the southeast arc of the intensifying low pressure system reached 83 mph at one point. The warning was cancelled, but due to communication problems, the observations from Dutch Harbor incorrectly indicated winds had decreased below 60 mph. When the communications were restored, the warning was re-issued for a brief period and then downgraded to an advisory as the low pressure and frontal system moved northeast.
