Blizzard and High Wind in Alaska, March 15, 2002
A moderate frontal system approaching the southwest coast of Alaska, was preceded by locally strong southeast winds, local blizzard conditions and a mix of rain and snow. Cape Newenham recorded peak winds of 58 mph, however several observations during the most intensepart of the storm were missing.

Local freezing rain was reported across the area.Blizzard conditions were met at Mekoryuk on Nunivak Island...along with gusts to 45 mph.Cape Newenham recorded peak winds of 58 mph, however several observations during the most intensepart of the storm were missing.
