Wind chills as low as minus 73 degrees Farenheit were reported across the Central Beaufort Sea Coast from Deadhorse to Nuiqsut. These low wind chills developed due to a deepening low moving east over the Arctic Ocean producing winds of at least 15 mph in a cold airmass.
