A moderate front moving into the area was accompanied by brisk east southeast winds around Turnagain Arm and the Upper Anchorage Hillside.101 - East winds first reached 60 mph at Glen Alps after 3pm Wednesday, peaking at at least 76 mph (missing observations) early in the morning Thursday. Wind reports were missing from 3 am to 2 pm Thursday...after which wind gusts diminished below 30 mph.125 - Peak winds around the Portage ASOS were estimated at 67 mph.
