Total monthly precipitation was less than an inch for most communities. John Flannagan Lake measured 0.48 inches, Grundy had 0.51 inches, Clintwood saw 0.85 inches, and Hurley reported 1.01 inches. At Clintwood, it was the driest November since records began in 1964. Surface water declined and many small streams stopped running.
