LINE OF CONVECTION ALOND COLD FRONT FROM SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO NORTH
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA THIS EVENING.  FRONT HAS CONTINUED TO SAG SOUTHWARD
THROUGH THE EVENING...BUT PROGRESS HAS BEEN VERY SLOW.  SHOULD BEGIN
TO SEE STORMS IMPACT OSAGE COUNTY OVER THE NEXT 1-2 HOURS...THEN
REMAINING KANSAS BORDER COUNTIES BY AROUND MIDNIGHT OR SO.

TIMING OF FRONT TO AROUND THE I-40 CORRIDOR DURING THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS LOOKS GOOD...SO TREND OF AFTERNOON FORECAST STILL ON TRACK.
EXPECT STORMS TO CONTINUE ALONG THE FRONT DURING THE NIGHT...AND
WILL ALSO CONTINUE TO SEE POTENTIAL FOR AT LEAST ISOLATED SEVERE
STORMS FOR A LITTLE WHILE LONGER.

WILL HOLD OFF ON ANY UPDATE AT THIS TIME TILL CURRENT WATCH OVER FAR

EARLY THIS EVENING...A STRONG COLD FRONT EXTENDED SOUTHEAST OF A
LINE FROM WICHITA TO EMPORIA TO KANSAS CITY. STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING ALONG THIS FRONT. ALTHOUGH INDIVIDUAL
STORMS ARE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST...THE FRONT IS MOVING
SOUTHEAST...WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY BRING STORMS INTO NORTHEAST
OKLAHOMA. THE AIRMASS HAS BECOME UNSTABLE...WITH CAPES OF 2000 TO
3000 J/KG...AND LIFTED INDEX VALUES AROUND -5 C. THIS ENVIRONMENT
WILL SUPPORT SEVERE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT...WITH STORMS EXPECTED
TO ARRIVE IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AFTER 8 PM. THE MAIN THREAT FROM
STORMS WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS.
