AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG SC
1002 PM EDT MON JUN 25 2001

WATER VAPOR SHOWING UPPER LOW LIFTING A BIT NORTHWARD WITH CENTER
OVER NORTHEAST TN. RUC MODEL WAS SHOWING ANOTHER SHORT WAVE TO
ROTATE ACROSS THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING A LITTLE FASTER THAN WHAT WE
ARE SEEING ON THE WATER VAPOR IMAGERY. SHORT WAVE MOVING IN WILL
LIKELY HELP CONTINUE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE CWA AND AGAIN
ENHANCE RAINFALL RATES OVERNIGHT.

I HAVE LOWERED POPS IN WEST TO LIKELY AS THERE IS NOT AS MUCH
CONFIDENCE FOR GETTING WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION TO DEVELOP. I HAVE
RAISED POPS IN EAST WHERE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE WIDESPREAD.

I WILL LEAVE FLASH FLOOD WATCH AS IS FOR THE OVERNIGHT.
