A storm system moved from the western Great Lakes region into southern Canada during Thursday, Oct 25th. The associated cold front moved across New York State during the morning of Oct 25th. Strong winds followed the front. Across northern Franklin county of New York, trees were blown down damaging cars in Malone, NY. In addition, in northern Franklin county, trees and power lines were blown down in the towns of Burke, Constable and Chateaugay. Otherwise, across the remainder of northern New York winds gusted to between 30 and 40 mph with no damage reported.
