A cold front moved from west to east across northern New York Saturday evening. Thunderstorms preceded and accompanied the front with heavy rain and gusty winds and pea size hail. In the towns of Champlain and Morrisonville small hail along with wind gusts to 30 mph (26 knots) and very heavy rain accompanied the storms.
