A cold front produced scattered thunderstorms across southeastern New York on the afternoon of August 13. One of the thunderstorms became briefly severe in Ulster County. Winds from the storm blew trees and power lines down in the town of Rosendale. Also, 1.75 inch diameter hail was reported with the storm.
