COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH VIGOROUS UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE STRETCHED FROM NEAR HAVRE TO WEST OF BOZEMAN AT 03Z AND MOVING RAPIDLY EAST. WIND IN MANY LOCATIONS FLUCTUATING...PICKING UP WITH FRONTAL PASSAGE THEN DECREASING SLIGHTLY. HOWEVER...LATEST MODEL DATA INDICATING SURFACE GRADIENTS CONTINUE TO TIGHTEN THROUGH ABOUT MIDNIGHT...THOUGH NOW INDICATING 45 KNOTS AT 700 MB....THEN GRADUALLY DECREASE THROUGH MORNING. THICKNESS VALUES SUGGEST LITTLE CHANGE WEDNESDAY AS UPPER RIDGE BEGINS BUILDING OVER PACIFIC NORTHWEST FOR CONTINUED UNSETTLED CONDITIONS OVER THE CWA.
