CONVECTION ONGOING TO REAR OF BOUNDARY BUT THIS ON DECREASE AS RAIN
AREA MOVES INTO DRIER AIR MASS. 08/00Z JAN SOUNDING SHOWED AIR MASS
RELATIVELY DRY BELOW 700 MB.

FRONT TO DRIFT VERY SLOWLY SEWD ACROSS REGION...FORECAST ALONG LINE
FROM MERIDIAN TO NATCHEZ THIS EVENING. BOUNDARY REMAINS IN THAT
GENERAL AREA THROUGH WED...LIFTING NWD AS A VERY WEAK BOUNDARY WED
EVENING BEFORE WASHING OUT IN THE FACE OF DEVELOPING HIGH PRESSURE.

AREAS OF VERTICAL VELOCITY PERSIST ALONG BOUNDARY THROUGH SHORT
TERM. OF NOTE IS DEVELOPMENT OF UVV MAX FROM NE-SW MS BY 00Z WED.
THIS ACCOMPANIED BY UPPER DIVERGENCE MAX AS 250 MB TROUGH CROSSES
REGION LATE AFTERNOON TODAY. WILL LEAVE SCATTERED SHOWERS/TSTMS
ACROSS ENTIRE FORECAST FOR TODAY. HOWEVER WILL SEE DECREASING CHANCE
OF RAIN NW ZONES REAR OF FRONT AS SHORTWAVE PASSES EARLY TODAY.

MODELS SHOW MARGINAL MOISTURE FOR CONVECTION TODAY WITH DECREASING
MOISTURE BY WED AND INTO THU. NEXT SHORTWAVE FORECAST INTO NW MS WED
BUT NO UPPER SUPPORT INDICATED AND VERTICAL MOTION FIELD VERY WEAK
AT THIS TIME. RAINFALL THREAT DIMINSHING AFTER THIS EVENING BUT
PRESENCE OF FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL REQUIRE AT LEAST SLIGHT CHANCE OF
SHOWERS CENTRAL AND SRN ZONES.

NO SIGNIFICANT COOLING5 NOTED TO IMMEDIATE REAR OF BOUNDARY. GUIDANCE
