CONVECTION EXTENDS ALONG/AHEAD OF FRONT WESTWARD ACROSS MO...AND SO
ANTICIPATE CONT SCT-NUMEROUS TSMS DEVELOPING ACROSS PAH FA THIS AM
AS FRONT CONTS TO MOVE IN. PRIMARY THREAT WL REMAIN LOCALLY +RA WITH
SOUNDINGS STILL SHOWING PWS IN EXCESS OF 2".

THIS OUTLOOK IS VALID UNTIL 6 AM CDT THURSDAY FOR SOUTHWEST
INDIANA...SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...AND WESTERN
KENTUCKY.

AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS...LOCATED OVER FAR SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND
THE PURCHASE AREA OF KENTUCKY LATE THIS MORNING...WILL CONTINUE TO
WEAKEN AS IT MOVES SOUTHEAST OUT OF THE AREA BY EARLY AFTERNOON.
FURTHER NORTH...A COLD FRONT WAS JUST PUSHING INTO SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
AND SOUTHWEST INDIANA.  THE FRONT IS FORECAST TO SLOWLY SAG
SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE ENTIRE QUAD-STATE AREA...BEFORE STALLING OUT
JUST SOUTH OF THE AREA THIS EVENING.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE
QUAD-STATE AREA ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT THROUGH THIS
EVENING.  IF THE FRONT DOES NOT MAKE IT THROUGH ALL OF WESTERN
KENTUCKY AND SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE THERE THROUGHOUT THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.

ALL THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL MOVE SLOWLY SOUTHEAST...AND MAY
PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS.  ISOLATED OCCURRENCES OF FLASH FLOODING
HAVE ALREADY OCCURRED IN SOME LOCATIONS THIS MORNING...AND
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL THIS AFTERNOON OR EVENING...COULD QUICKLY
RESULT IN A RECURRENCE OF FLASH FLOODING PROBLEMS. WEAK WINDS ALOFT
AND A LACK OF SIGNIFICANT INSTABILITY DUE TO CONSIDERABLE CLOUD
COVER OVER THE REGION...WILL PRECLUDE THE THREAT OF SEVERE WINDS OR
HAIL THROUGH TONIGHT.

STORM MOVEMENT WILL GENERALLY BE TO THE SOUTHEAST AT AROUND 10 MPH.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE REQUESTED FOR FLOODING SITUATIONS.
