BOUNDARY WILL SAG SLOWLY SOUTH ACRS THE CWFA TODAY THRU TONIGHT.
IN THE SHORT TERM...MESOSCALE BOUNDARY ACRS THE SWRN CWFA COMBINED
WITH LVL JET/SHORTWAVE ALOFT ARE THE REASON FOR THE CURRENT
CONVECTION/VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. LOW LVL JET SHOULD EASE BY
MORNING...SO EXPECT CONVECTION TO EVENTUALLY WEAKEN TOWARD
DAYBREAK. BASED ON CURRENT RADAR TRENDS...WILL KEEP FLASH FLOOD
WATCH GOING UNTIL 6 AM EDT FOR SWRN CWFA AN LET THE PREVIOUS WATCH

The Whitewater River crested at 17.8 feet at 0600 EST on the 18th. Flood stage is 17.0 feet. Flooding of low-lying agricultural land occurred in Fayette and northern Franklin counties, with water approaching nearby county roads along the river.
