THE WARM FRONT WILL MOVE NORTH OF THE FORECAST AREA OF NORTHEAST
ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA. THIS IS IN RESPONSE WITH A LOW IN
SOUTH DAKOTA. USING THE AVN MODEL THIS LOW IS EXPECTED TO TRACK EAST
FROM SOUTH DAKOTA AND INTO CENTRAL LAKE MICHIGAN. THE WATER VAPOR
LOOPS AND PROFILER DATA SHOWS THE JET STREAK MOVING INTO WESTERN
KANSAS AT 1815 UTC. THIS IS A LITTLE SLOWER THAN THIS MORNINGS RUN
OF THE AVN SO WILL ADJUST THE MOVEMENT OF SURFACE LOW A LITTLE
SLOWER. K INDEX AND LIFTED INDEX FORECASTS FOR SHOW ENOUGH
INSTABILITY FOR POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS FOR TONIGHT AND TUESDAY

FOR THIS EVENING THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE WARM FRONT
HAVE MOVED NORTH INTO WISCONSIN. OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN
EASTERN IOWA ARE APPROACHING THE FORECAST AREA. DEWPOINTS WILL
INCREASE AS MOISTURE ADVECTION IS SEEN ON THE SURFACE MAP AND THE
MESO ETA SHOWS DEWPOINTS INCREASING BY 0000 UTC TUESDAY. WILL
MENTION HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE IN THUNDERSTORMS BUT DECIDED TO HOLD OFF
ON A FLOOD WATCH.

ON TUESDAY THE LOW WILL MOVE NORTHEAST INTO WISCONSIN. THE FORECAST
AREA WILL BE IN WARM AIR THROUGHOUT THIS STORM SO CONVECTION IS IN
THE FORECAST ON TUESDAY. WILL PUT IN WINDY CONDITIONS AS THE
PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL BE RATHER LARGE. THE SECOND LOW WILL MOVE
INTO LAKE SUPERIOR DURING WEDNESDAY WITH A TRAILING COLD FRONT
MOVING ACROSS BY 0000 UTC THURSDAY. THIS IS A LITTLE SLOWER THAN THE
AVN MODEL. THIS FRONT WILL BRING IN THE COLD AIR. THE 500 MB
FORECAST FROM THE MRF SHOWS A LARGE WAVE MOVING OVER THE AREA
THURSDAY.

ILLINOIS IS CANCELLED.

ALTHOUGH SHOWERS AND SOME THUNDERSTORMS HAVE SPREAD OVER NORHTERN
ILLINOIS...THE INTENSITY OF THE STORMS HAS DECREASED SINCE EARLY
THIS EVENING. IT APPEARS THAT THE STORMS WILL NO LONGER POSE A
THREAT.
