NARRATIVE SYNOPTIC DISCUSSION FOR WAKE ISLAND AN UPPER LOW IS NOW ABOUT 525 NM EAST-NORTHEAST OF WAKE AND CONTINUES MOVING SLOWLY WESTWARD. SHOWER BANDS RADIATING OUTWARD FROM THIS UPPER LOW HAVE BEEN MOVING ACROSS THE ISLAND FROM THE NORTH BRINGING SHOWERS...SOME BRIEFLY HEAVY. ONE SUCH SHOWER BAND IS IN YOUR AREA THIS MORNING AND IS NOT SHOWING MUCH SIGNS OF MOVEMENT. THUS WILL EXPECT CLOUDS AND SHOWERS TO PERSIST FOR MUCH OF TODAY...WITH SOME IMPROVEMENT BY LATE AFTERNOON. FORECAST MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS TODAY...WITH SOME AFTERNOON SUNNY BREAKS. A FEW SHOWERS AT TIMES WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT AND TUESDAY WITH THE UPPER LOW STILL IN YOUR AREA...AND MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. WINDS WILL BE GENERALLY LIGHT AND VARIABLE...BECOMING GUSTY NEAR HEAVY SHOWERS. NO SIGNIFICANT SWELL.
