SUMMARY...SUNNY AND PLEASANT TRADE WIND TYPE WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND. ANY SHOWERS WILL BE BRIEF AND CENTERED
MOSTLY OVER MOUNTAIN AREAS.

DISCUSSION...THE SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL REMAIN ABOUT 400
OR 500 MILES NORTH OF THE ISLANDS THROUGH MONDAY. AN UPPER
ATMOSPHERIC TROUGH NORTHEAST OF HAWAII WILL EVOLVE TO A CUTOFF UPPER
LOW ABOUT 1000 MILES NORTHEAST BY MONDAY. ADDITIONALLY AN UPPER
ATMOSPHERIC SHORT WAVE IMPULSE IN THE WESTERLIES DROPS SOUTHWARD AND
WEAKENS THE RIDGE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY ALTHOUGH COMPUTER MODELS
INDICATE TRADES IN OUR AREA WILL REMAIN IN THE 10 TO 20 MPH RANGE. A
WEAK COLD FRONT ALSO ACCOMPANIES THIS TROUGH BUT WILL REMAIN NORTH
OF THE ISLANDS. FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEKEND THE SATELLITE VIEW
SHOWS A FEW PATCHES OF WEAK SHOWERS JUST UPWIND. THESE EXERT THEIR
MAIN EFFECT IN THE NIGHT AND MORNING HOURS AND FADE DURING THE
DAYTIME. PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN... AND LIKELY WILL REMAIN
