MAIN CONCERN FOR THE EVE UPDATE IS FROST POTENTIAL OUT EAST...AND TO
SOME EXTENT...POPS TMRW THRU MON. MARINE PUSH LAST NIGHT HAS LEFT THE
WEST SIDE 6 TO 8 DEGREES COOLER THAN THIS TIME LAST NGT. EAST SIDE
SHOWING ONLY A COUPLE DEGREES COOLER. DEWPOINTS ARE GENERALLY DOWN A
FEW DEGREES AS WELL. PRESSURE GRADIENT IS PROGGED TO SLACK OFF
TONIGHT AND WINDS MOST AREAS WILL GO LIGHT. THIS MEANS GOOD
RADIATIONAL COOLING CONDITIONS UNDER MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES. LOCATIONS
OUT EAST FELL TO MID 30S AND AROUND 40 LAST NIGHT. TONIGHT SHOULD BE
COOLER BY SEVERAL DEGREES. THIS MEANS GENERALLY MID TO UPPER 30S
KLAMATH BASIN AND SLIGHTLY COOLER OVER ZONES 30-31. EASTERN SISKIYOU
AND MODOC SHOULD BE EQUALLY AS COLD. IT WILL BE FAIRLY MARGINAL...BUT
FEEL THE HEADLINE IS WARRANTED AND WILL ISSUE THE FROST ADVISORY.
THE OTHER ISSUE IS THE CHANCE OF RAIN. THE AVN HAS BEEN WETTER IN
THIS PATTERN THAN THE OTHERS...AND PROBABLY BETTER. ITS LATEST
DEPICTION BRINGS RAIN IN TO THE WHOLE WEST SIDE TOMORROW AFTN WITH
THE SYSTEM NOW SEEN OUT ALONG 43N BEYOND 140W. I LIKE THIS IDEA...A
BIT WETTER THAN THE OTHER MODELS. RAIN CHANCES SHOULD THEN INCREASE
WITH THE ARRIVAL OF A STRONGER SYSTEM MONDAY. CURRENT PACKAGE LOOKS A
LITTLE TOO DRY AND WILL HAVE TO BEEF UP SOME POPS A BIT FOR THE NEXT
