ACCORDINGLY WITH WARMER TEMPS OCCURRING THRUT MOST OF THE CWA...
ESPECIALLY OVER HIGHER SIERRA AND KERN MTN ELEVS. AN EXCEPTION IS
SOUTHERN SJ VALLEY LOCATIONS WHERE POOLED MARINE AIR WAS SLOWER TO
MIX OUT TODAY AND HAS RESULTED IN TEMPS SIMILAR TO MON EVE. ALTHOUGH
MARINE INVERSION HAS BECOME REESTABLISHED ALONG THE COAST...FORT ORD
PROFILER DATA SHOW LAYER ONLY AROUND 1500 FEET DEEP WITH RELATIVELY
WEAK WINDS AT TRAVIS. NEVERTHELESS...ONSHORE SURFACE GRADS HAVE
PERSISTED WITH SFO-SAC JUST UNDER 3 MB AND SNS-FAT AROUND 5 MB. ANY
OVERNIGHT INTRUSIONS...HOWEVER...SHOULD BE MINIMAL AND EASILY MIXED
OUT ON WED AS STRONG RIDGE OVER NATION/S MIDSECTION CONTS WESTWARD
EXPANSION SUPPORTING INCREASED THICKNESSES AND WARMER UPPER AIR
TEMPS. BROADER SYNOPTIC P-GRADS HAVE WEAKENED CONSIDERABLY DURING
THE PAST 24 HOURS WITH SFO-LAS AT 7 MB. GRADS WERE SUPPORTING SOME
BREEZES IN THE KERN DESERTS THIS EVE...BUT SPEEDS ARE WITHIN CURRENT

The cost to contain the Burnt Fire is unknown. This lightning caused fire started on July 30th but no spot forecasts were requested to fight the fire until August 11th. The fire burned 1879 acres from July 30th through September 28th. The fire was managed for resource benefit. No fatalities, injuries, or structures were lost.
