Close to 1 foot of new snow was reported near Cantwell (by the general public) Thursday morning. Heavy snowfall likely occurred in other parts of the Susitna Valley Wednesday and Wednesday night. This added to 4 to 6 inches of snow that fell Tuesday. The culprit, arctic frontal overrunning.
