An arctic airmass low moved from the Pribilofs by Dutch Harbor Friday morning, accompanied by another round of strong northerly winds.This particular arctic low just happened to pass a reporting station...again showing the potential for strong winds from these meso-scale systems. Peak winds reached 81 mph at 9:55 am AST at the Dutch Harbor airport.
