Showers and thunderstorms developed over the Eastern Panhandle as a moist tropical airmass covered the region. Between midday on the 24th through the evening of the 25th, between 1 and 2 inches of rain fell. In Jefferson County, 1.87 inches was recorded in Charles Town. In Berkeley County, 1.82 inches fell in Martinsburg. In Morgan County, rainfall amounts included 2.01 inches in Berkeley Springs and 1.80 inches at Cacapon Park. In Mineral County, 2.02 inches fell in Keyser and 1.70 inches was recorded in Headsville. In Hampshire County, 1.64 inches fell in Romney. In Grant County, 2.12 inches fell in Bayard and 1.73 inches was recorded in Petersburg. In Hardy County, rainfall amounts included 2.10 inches in Mathias, 1.76 inches in Moorefield, and 1.51 inches in Wardensville. In Pendleton County, 2.17 inches was reported in Franklin.
