Showers and thunderstorms developed over Maryland as a moist tropical airmass covered the region. Between midday on the 24th through the evening on the 25th, between 1 and 3 inches of rain fell. In Harford County, 2.19 inches of rain was reported in Aberdeen and 1.75 inches fell at Conowingo Dam. In Baltimore County, rainfall totals included 2.80 inches at Ft. McHenry in Baltimore, 2.56 inches in Pikesville, 2.52 inches in Fullerton, 2.40 inches in Owings Mills, and 1.96 inches in Freeland. In Anne Arundel County, rainfall totals included 2.98 inches in Annapolis, 2.88 inches in Hillsmere, 2.82 inches in Lothian, 2.76 inches in Owings Beach, 2.73 inches in Pasadena, 2.50 inches in Rivera Beach, 2.14 inches at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, and 1.99 inches in Millersville. In northwest Calvert County, between 2.5 and 3.0 inches was recorded. In St. Mary's County, rainfall totals included 2.91 inches in Mechanicsville, 2.33 inches in Oraville, 2.10 inches in California, 2.02 inches in Hollywood, and 2.01 inches in Morganza. In Charles County, 2.78 inches was reported in Waldorf, 2.47 inches fell in Bryan's Road, and 2.39 inches fell in Port Tobacco. In Prince George's County, rainfall totals included 3.59 inches at Leeland Road, 3.07 inches in Upper Marlboro, 2.96 inches in Oxon Hill, 2.85 inches at Andrews AFB, 2.68 inches in Bowie, 2.56 inches in Landover, and 2.40 inches in Beltsville. In Montgomery County, rainfall totals included 2.70 inches at the Potomac Water Treatment Plant, 2.57 inches in Forest Glenn, 2.46 inches in Olney, 2.42 inches in Damascus, 2.37 inches in Rockville, 2.14 inches in Gaithersburg, and 2.04 inches in Bethesda. In Howard County, 2.72 inches fell in Savage Park, 2.44 inches fell in Ellicott City, 2.30 inches fell in Laurel, and 2.28 inches was reported in Columbia. In Carroll County, 2.36 inches fell at Piney Run and 1.84 inches was recorded in Millers. In Frederick County, 1.66 inches fell in Frederick and 1.50 inches was reported in Thurmont. In Washington County, 1.87 inches fell in Sharpsburg and 1.53 inches was reported in Hagerstown. Around 1 AM EDT on the 26th, some early season snowflakes were mixed in with the rain on South Mountain. In Allegany County, 2.27 inches of rain fell in Frostburg and 2.26 inches was reported in Cumberland.
