Gusty winds early in the afternoon blew several trees onto power lines, cutting power to around 50 homes in Wiley. The ASOS sensor at the Yakima Airport, located 6 miles to the east of Wiley, recorded sustained winds of 30 mph with gusts around 39 mph. The power outage, which included the Ahtanum Valley Elementary School, lasted around one hour.
