An upper level disturbance brought precipitation to the area from mid morning through early evening. Because temperatures at the ground were below freezing in Shenandoah and Highland Counties, light freezing rain fell during the morning and early afternoon. Scattered icy spots were reported on roads across both counties but conditions improved quickly by afternoon as temperatures rose above freezing.
