Thunderstorms during the evening of the 19th produced damaging winds. Thunderstorm winds downed trees, including one nearly 3 feet in diameter, and blew two mobile homes off of their foundation in Christiansburg. An off duty NWS meteorologist estimated a 50 knot wind gust picked up a camper shell and blew it into a fence, damaging the fence, also in Christiansburg.
