A storm system moved through the eastern Great Lakes Monday night, January 3rd and then into Canada on Tuesday, January 4th. During the early morning hours strong winds blew along portions of the western slopes of the Green Mountains. In Underhill, an observer reported measured winds of 82 mph (71 Knots). The winds blew a tin roof off a house in Underhill with trees and power lines down.
