Heavy rain continued to spread westward during the morning of Oct 23 into the Texas Hill Country and Edwards Plateau. Rainfall accumulating at up to 2 inches per hour in the storms quickly produced general half-inch amounts with widespread 2 to 3 inch amounts and isolated totals of up to 6 inches in central Kerr County and eastern Real County.

Heavy rain continued to spread westward during the morning of Oct 23 into the Texas Hill Country and Edwards Plateau. Rainfall accumulating at up to 2 inches per hour in the storms quickly produced general half-inch amounts with widespread 2 to 3 inch amounts and isolated totals of up to 6 inches in central Kerr County and eastern Real County. Flash flooding continued through the mid morning in many of the counties. The Guadalupe River was in flood from 23/1000CST through 24/0100CST, reaching a crest at Hunt of 22.40 feet(flood stage is 12 feet) and a crest at Kerrville of 17.93 feet. The rising water trapped around 70 students at Hunt. They had to stay in place overnight before they could return home. The Nueces River at Concan in Uvalde County was in flood from 23/1000CST through 24/1100CST. It crested at 18.29 feet on 23/1900CST. Flood stage is 12.0 feet. It crested at 14.80 feet at Laguna, where flood stage is 10.0 feet. The Sabinal River in Eastern Uvalde County was in flood from 23/2200CST through 24/0100CST. It crested at Sabinal at 14.52 feet on 23/2300CST. Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
