A slight drought struck the Texas panhandle in early October as reported by the USGS. Corn yield losses were estimated at thirty-four million dollars...sorghum yield losses were estimated at sixteen million dollars...soybean yield losses were estimated at four million dollars...and dry land wheat yield losses estimated at ten million dollars.
