Half dollar size hail was reported on Farm-to-Market Road 1835 south of Flat Top. The hail reports associated with this supercell thunderstorm were on the extreme northern side of the hail core. Doppler radar suggested that the hail was much larger in the core, which translated across unpopulated, open country in southeastern Stonewall County.
