High winds estimated between 40 and 60 mph blew down many trees and power lines across southeast Texas. Trees were knocked onto homes and vehicles in Beaumont, Port Arthur and Nederland in Jefferson County.

High winds estimated between 40 and 60 mph blew down many trees and power lines across southeast Texas. Trees were knocked onto homes and vehicles in Beaumont, Port Arthur and Nederland in Jefferson County. In Mauriceville in Orange County, high winds toppled trees onto the train tracks. The high winds were a result of a strong high pressure system over the area.
