Heavy rain of 2 to 5 inches fell in a short time during the early morning hours and caused extensive flooding. Several area rivers and creeks flooded, including the Reedy River, Brushy Creek, Gilder Creek, and Enoree River. Some roads and bridges were washed out as a result of the flood waters. A maximum of 4.9 inches of rain fell near Landrum.
