Heavy rains fell across the lower Susquehanna region with 24 hour accumulations ranging from 1 to 4 inches. Washington Boro in Lancaster County reported 4.75 inches and Ronks had 4.50 inches. Lancaster, Hummelstown, and Elizabethtown all had in excess of 3 inches. Many roads were closed in York and Lancaster counties. Several vehicles were towed from standing water. The Conestoga River crested at 12 feet, a foot above flood stage, Wednesday afternoon.
