6.25 inches of rain fell in the Cando area, which caused problems for a section of road construction. Large ponds formed along a 12 mile stretch of highway 281. Rushing coulee water washed out a bypass road around a bridge being fixed. Several gravel roads had washouts and grain fields were flattened. In Cando, streets, several fairways at the town golf course, and some basements filled with water.
