Mid-afternoon thunderstorms dropped as much as 3 1/2 inches of rain across southern Allegany county. In Wellsville, Hanover Creek spilled over rerouting the flow of water. Several streets were closed and a half dozen homes were flooded. A portion of Road 7B in Rushford was closed as fast moving water washed out a bridge.
