Lightning struck two Somerset County homes in Bound Brook and Warren Township. Two ensuing fires began within their attics. In Bound Brook, downed wires outside of the home initially prevented them from evacuating. They escaped through a rear basement door. In both instances, the fires were contained and the damage limited to the attics.
