Heavy showers and thunderstorms produced locally heavy rainfalls that caused some road closures and mudslides on Delafield Road in Lyndhurst. Rainfall amounts were generally around 2 inches. A nearby spotter from Harrison in Hudson County measured 2.00 inches.Thunderstorms were also accompanied by frequent and intense lightning strikes. Spotters reported that lightning struck a house in Teaneck and a house in Millburn. Cost estimates of property damage were unavailable.
