Strong winds buffeted southwest New Hampshire ahead of a cold front. Gusts of 45 to 55 mph resulted in scattered occurrences of downed tree limbs and wires. About 2,500 electric customers in Cheshire and Hillsborough Counties were left without power, with the greatest concentration in and around Manchester.
