Heavy snow and gusty winds created winter storm conditions in northwest Montana. Most schools were closed, businesses were operating with skeleton staffs, flights were canceled at Glacier Park International Airport, and emergency-only restriction was placed on travel.

Heavy snow and gusty winds created winter storm conditions in northwest Montana. Most schools were closed, businesses were operating with skeleton staffs, flights were canceled at Glacier Park International Airport, and emergency-only restriction was placed on travel. Some 24 hour snowfall amounts recorded were:Marias Pass 14.5 inches, Pleasant Valley 10.5 inches, West Glacier 9.5 inches, Polebridge 11 inches, Big Fork 8 inches, Columbia Falls 11 inches and Kalispell 8 inches new snow.
