During the early morning hours of the 1st, isolated thunderstorms dropped heavy rainfall across eastern Frederick and western Montgomery Counties. A total of 2.10 inches was reported in Germantown and 1.87 inches fell in Damascus. Two separate observers in Frederick reported rainfall totals of 2.67 inches and 1.65 inches respectively.
