An isolated thunderstorm moved across Anne Arundel County between 4:10 and 4:30 PM EDT on the 24th. As the storm passed over Lothian, it produced a brief wind gust of over 55 MPH which destroyed two buildings and an area of crops on a farm.

An isolated thunderstorm moved across Anne Arundel County between 4:10 and 4:30 PM EDT on the 24th. As the storm passed over Lothian, it produced a brief wind gust of over 55 MPH which destroyed two buildings and an area of crops on a farm. A garage made of cinder blocks and a wooden shed were both ripped apart by the sudden burst of wind. Items inside the structures were thrown up to 300 yards away. Crops in a nearby field were uprooted and were either found lying in a circle or blown onto the roof of a farmhouse.
