Minor snow accumulations, generally an inch or so, affected the Owensboro and Henderson areas. To the south, the precipitation was more in the form of sleet and freezing rain. In the Owensboro area, about 50 vehicles slid off the road or were in accidents. The most significant was a semi trailer that jackknifed on U.S. 431 near the community of Island.
