A mixture of rain and snow quickly turned to snow around noon. Snow amounts of 6 inches or more were common in parts of Scott, Lane, Ness and Trego counties. The greatest amounts were in northern Lane county where a 10 to 12 inch swath was reported. An isolated 6 to 8 inch amount was reported in the vicinity of Johnson in Stanton county. Five inches of snow was reported about 6 miles north of Liberal, but only covered a small area (less than 10 square miles)
