A storm system moving across the area created periods of heavy snow across parts of southern Colorado. In Pueblo county, 5 to 7 inches of snow occurred in the vicinity of Rye. In Teller county, 6 inches of snow was noted at Cripple Creek. In Huerfano county, totals included 8 inches 8 miles south of Walsenburg, 10 inches at La Veta and 18 inches at Cuchara.
